Increase of bifidobacteria
The population of faecal bifidobacteria was measured in eight elderely inpatients who were given Champex. The numbers of faecal bifidobacteria increased approx 1.5 times. At the same time, the number of faecal clostridium, a representative harmful bacteria in the intestines, was reduced by more than half.
